Walk&Hike Weekend Package

Join us at Lopari Camping Resort and enjoy an active weekend on the island of Lošinj.

The weekend package "Along the Paths of Saint Gaudentius" combines the beauties of Lošinj Island with hiking. With expert guidance, you will learn Nordic walking techniques tailored to your pace and fitness level while exploring the hidden beauties of the island and enjoying the fresh air.

Nordic walking is a popular physical activity that combines walking with the use of special poles. This dynamic walking technique not only strengthens the muscles of the whole body but also improves cardiovascular health. In addition to the physical benefits, Nordic walking also provides an opportunity to enjoy nature, making it an attractive option for people of all ages.

SATURDAY - NEREZINE WALK

On Saturday, after breakfast and morning exercise, we will take a moderately difficult Lopari-Halmac-Tržić-Lopari, with a total length of 7 km (duration 3 hours). While exploring the foothills of Osoršćica, we will visit the oldest village of Nerezine, Halmac, and the abandoned village of Tržić. It is believed that Saint Gaudentius, a Benedictine monk, and the bishop of Osor, was born in Tržić. According to legend, he expelled all venomous snakes from Cres and Lošinj, and they have not been present since.

SUNDAY - OSORŠĆICA HIKE

Sunday is reserved for more experienced hikers. We will head to the summit of Osoršćica and visit the Mountain Lodge of St. Gaudentius, the cave of St. Gaudentius where, according to belief, Saint Gaudentius lived after being exiled from Osor, and St. Nicholas (locally called Mikula), a peak at an altitude of 557 meters. Although not the highest peak of Osoršćica, St. Mikula offers the most beautiful view of the Lošinj archipelago and beyond to the islands of Kvarner, Istria, and Velebit. The total length of the tour is 15 km (duration 6 hours). Lunch at the mountain lodge is available at an additional cost.

The package includes:

• 2 nights for 2 persons with accommodation in a mobile home on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner)
• 2 guided hiking tours
• Nordic walking poles
• Late check-out

Equipment: sturdy and comfortable walking/hiking footwear, backpack, windbreaker, suitable clothes, water, poles (optional), headwear, sunglasses, rain protection

Note: The organizer reserves the right to change hiking routes before the start of each tour. Participants in the program participate at their own risk.

The program is conducted with a licensed guide from the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS).
